# Helmet Heroes Thailand

> Helmet Heroes Thailand is a nonprofit (Helmet Heroes Foundation, Inc.) that gives free, TIS-certified motorcycle helmets and road-safety education to children across Thailand, where roughly 60 people die on the roads every day and around 2,500 children and youths are killed each year in motorcycle accidents. About 84% of motorcycle injuries are preventable with proper helmet use. The organization distributes helmets through schools, runs a gamified rewards program that pays kids to keep wearing them, and is funded by individual and corporate sponsors.
